Whether its’s public safety, family affordability, land use, environmental sustainability, or Burnsville’s public works and infrastructure––Burnsville’s residents have the right to be on public record and share our perspectives.
As your City Council Member, I will fight for our right to engage with local government and work to improve the transparency, effectiveness, and responsiveness of our public programs while preserving the character of our vibrant city.

Together, Cati Gómez for City Council SOARED through the Primary Election
The 2026 Burnsville City Council’s Primary Election Results shows that Burnsville is civically engaged and ready for a fresh perspective in City Hall. The top four candidates advanced onto the General Election and we are proud that our Catarina "Cati” Gómez for Burnsville City Council Campaign sailed through the Primary Election in 3rd place––less than 200 votes away from the 20-year city council incumbent. Two Burnsville City Council seats are up for grabs on November 3rd and every vote, dollar, and volunteer shift goes a long way in amplifying our message of bold visions and responsible stewardship.
